PROJECT MANAGER
Reports to: General Manager

Summary of Duties
Responsible for providing overall management direction for two or more projects and developing new business opportunities with a clients. Makes decisions and recommendations for the projects he/she manages. Acts without close supervision, shows initiative, tact, integrity and good judgement. Coordinates all aspects of a project to include finances, contract negotiations, hiring and termination of field trade personnel, record keeping and invoicing of projects.

Job Qualifications:
Ten or more years of combined practical and academic experience in the full range of HVACR, Mechanical & Plumbing sub-fields. Must hold a 4-year engineering degree or equivalent, plus extensive experience/knowledge of construction, design, finance and management with at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity.

Must be able to apply innovative management techniques to maximize employee performance.

Thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, etc.

Superior oral & written communication skills.

Experience in analyzing a typical field situation and provide a timely, correct solution.

Excellent leadership and motivational skills.

Ability to comprehend and implement applicable federal, state and local government laws, codes and regulations.

Current Tennessee driver's license and the ability to drive all types of vehicles in the corporate fleet within 30 days of initial employment. Must be insurable by current CHC Mechanical insurance carrier.

Ability to represent CHC Mechanical at industry-related social activities.

Familiarity with Excel or Lotus 1-2-3, Microsoft Word or WordPerfect 5.1 or higher and Quickpen estimating programs or other similar programs.
